Bill of materials software on it’s own is not enough. Our low cost web based ERP, small business management software provides a comprehensive feature to enable you to easily build and sell a group of items as a bill of materials. Sometimes known as ‘assembly items’ this feature is seamlessly integrated with the ERP accounting and the inventory management function in our web based ERP.
Easily create assembly items
The bill of materials feature lets you easily create either a discrete group of items or a group of other assembly items and give it a unique identifier (product id, sku no. or part number). You simply select the items you need and then build the assembly item. You can include all of the item types in your bill of materials making this time saving feature useful for businesses that sell products or services or both.
Automatic checks on inventory levels
If the assembly item contains stock items our bill of materials software checks the inventory or stock levels and if sufficient stock is available the item is then made available for sale. The individual inventory item or stock level is automatically adjusted when items are included in assembly items. If however their are insufficient items for the build phase our web based ERP software simply alerts you to the fact and stops the build process. When the process is complete the assembly item is made available for inclusion on sales and purchase documents.
