I’m going to share with you a really actionable insight that will quickly generate you revenue, providing you have access to a small number of small business owners, online merchants and wholesalers and distributors.
Depending upon what you currently sell and your skills set, there’s plenty of revenue creating opportunities out there if you introduce salesorder.com to your prospects. We have a 69% (and rising month on month) close rate for every lead we receive into our sales funnel. Prospects VERY quickly turn into customers for a number of reasons:
- The system is very affordable and great value for money compared to others in it’s class.
- The system is incredibly easy to learn, use and customise.
- The free support we offer is responsive, personal and effective.
Whilst the subscription low subscription cost of our service doesn’t enable us to revenue share with you, depending upon the prospect’s situation and need there are often a number of problems for which you can charge a fee for solving.
Here’s a short list of the most lucrative opportunities we and our partners regularly unearth when we engage a prospect, pay particular attention to the Cart Connect opportunity as it’s a revenue magnet:
- Migration planning and execution – deciding what information needs to be exported from the old system into salesorder.com, and exporting, cleaning and formatting the data for import into salesorder.com
- Customisation and set up – Helping the prospect determine what modifications are required to the standard system to make salesorder.com ready for import and recording of information. You probably know you can easily add new fields, tabs etc to every document in our system, as well a create and memorise custom reports to make the system fit the prospects business. The Set up opportunity is a great one, as many prospects simple want to tell and ‘expert’ what they need and get the work done. If you spend just a couple of hours playing with the system, then you’re already way ahead of most solution seekers who are too busy running their business to get involved in the nitty gritty.
- Cart Connect integration (recurring revenue opportunity) – There’s a really valuable opportunity here for you and a great story for online merchants. Let’s face it there are thousands of them out there, and they are pretty easy to find and contact. Cart Connect is a generic ‘app’ which allows ANY number or type of third party shopping cart to be integrated with Salesorder.com. It enables two way communication between the Cart and Salesorder.com, which means no more downloading and uploading of online Orders into the Accounts, synchronisation of Customer and Inventory records and other really useful functions which reduce complexity and save merchants time. The opportunity here is to develop the small piece of code which ‘maps’ the Vendor Cart API to Cart Connect and sell it over and over again with your services. Al you need to do is find a Developer on Odesk, Vworker, Elance or similar skills for hire web site and get them to write, test and deliver the solution. You then have your own product to sell. In Spring 2012, we’ll be introducing an ‘App store’ inside the salesorder.com application, you can guess the rest. If you want to know more check our Cart Connect feature page and the documentation.
- Training – Regardless of how easy we try and make our system, there are always going to be prospects who need their hands held.
OK, we currently don’t have a formal partner program but I hope you are beginning to see there is a lot of opportunity out there, with this in mind let me give you a few more pointers.
No doubt you have realised the ‘Cloud Opportunity’ is immense and our positioning as a low cost easy to use ERP as a substitute for cobbled together CRM and Accounting solutions such as Salesforce.com, Sugar CRM, ZOHO, Quickbooks, Sage. What’s more there are plenty of very fed up business owners out there who feel they are paying to much for their current systems from vendors like Netsuite, Microsoft and SAP.
OK one more thing, our lead volume is increasing weekly, mostly due to the verbosity of our customers and prospects in their respective circles. It’s mostly on account of the fact we do a pretty good job all round of delivering a good service both from a technology and support perspective. I’m more and more inclined to pass good leads onto ‘partners’ who work with us on a regular basis and are regularly in touch with questions and requests for help in their engagements. So don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or opportunities you need help with.
Cheers
Nick
