Attachments and Links

It is useful to be able to attach external documents or link it to Documents in the system. For example, attaching detailed product sheets to a quote.
Alternatively, rather than attaching documents, linking to an external document on the web.
Your system allows you create multiple attachments or links to virtually any Document.

How to create Links and Attachments

  1. Click the Paperclip in the top green bar, next to the name of the document. (see below)

How to Attach a File

This is a simple file attachment.
You can attach any kind of file to the document.
Click the button and specify the file you wish to attach.

How to Link to a SO! Doc

Link to any other Document within your system.
This is very useful for making connections between relevant Documents.
For example, link a Sales Order with the associated Purchase Order.
To create a link to an internal document:

  • First, ensure the Document you want to link to is placed on the Explorer. (Finding the Document, then click on the bookmark icon.)
  • Click the Link to SO! Doc button.
  • From the Explorer click on the Document you wish to link to.
  • This Document will now show in the section at the top of the page called ‘Attachments/Links’. If you have selected the wrong Document you can remove it by clicking on the red cross icon.

How to Link to the Web

This is a normal link to a Web page. Click the button and specify the page you wish to link to.

How to Download and Attach Google Docs

This button allows you to search through a list of your Google Documents, then download and attach one or more of them. (see below)

You must have a Google Account which contains the documents. You can either type in your account details directly, or you can set up a predefined Google Account Login here.
