Job Fields

Top Block Fields:

Job name

The name of the Job.

Job type

Drop-down list of the different types of Job.

  • Time and Materials.
  • Fixed price.
  • Internal.

Customer

Auto-populated and cannot be changed.

Customer Ref #

Auto-populated and cannot be changed.

Owner

Drop down field where the worker can be selected.

  • The owner of a prospect is usually the Worker who created the Job.
  • The ownership can be re-assigned at any time.
  • The drop down Owner field is a list of Workers that have login permission.

Group name

This allows different Jobs to be grouped together under the same name.
This grouping is used in Reports as a filter.

Is Active

A checkbox which indicates the status of the job e.g. Whether a job is in progress or on hold.

Start Date

The date this job commenced. Compulsory field.

Ref #

This field cannot be edited. An automatic code is assigned when a job is created. See Working with Reference numbers (Ref #).

Priority

The priority of this Job. This can be changed at any time. Values:

  • Normal
  • High
  • Low

Stage

The Job Stages. Values:

  • Not Started
  • In Progress
  • Suspended
  • Completed

% Complete

The percentage completion of the Job.

Currency

The currency for this client. This cannot be changed and is assigned when the customer is created.

Exchange Rate

The applicable exchange rate to convert this currency.

Customer Ref

A free text field where a Customer ref number, such as the PO number can be added. See Working with Transactional Documents.

Contact

You can search from all available contacts and assign one specific contact to this job. When selecting the appropriate contact, the Telephone and Email fields will be populated.

Expected Completion

The date the Job is expected to be completed.

Actual Completion

The date the Job was actually completed.

Price List

A dropdown field where the applicable price list can be selected for this job. See Working with Price Lists.

Tax Code

Select the applicable tax code. See Working with Tax Codes and Working with US Tax Codes.

Terms

A dropdown field allowing you to choose from:

  • 30 days
  • 2%, 10 Net 30
  • COD
